Almost all of our clients now want to be able to keep their own website up to date, particularly with the small things like changing dates, adding new website pages or keeping a blog up to date. These are the minor administrative tasks which once upon a time still required some knowledge of HTML to perform, but which can now be done very easily in-house using a content management system such as Joomla!.

Just What is Joomla! anyway?Put fairly simply it is a Content Management System which manages the information on your website, delivering it to the website when required, but also presenting the data in an administrative 'back end' in such a way as to enable simple editing in an environment that is familiar to anyone who has used word processing software. It exists only on the website itself, so there is nothing to install, and it is also open source software, and therefore completely free for you to use on your website. This means that you pay us only to design and build the website, and not for any expensive software. |

Can Joomla! Websites do the Same Stuff as Other Websites?Absolutely. There is a huge community of third party software developers who have created extremely powerful 'plugins' for Joomla!, which means you can have pretty much any functionality you want with your Joomla! website. With an active community of over 200,000 contributors and developers, the number of applications available is always growing. |

Do Joomla! Websites Cost More?They shouldn't cost any more, and ours certainly don't. All of the software associated with Joomla! is open source, and completely free. Often, you will also be able to get the plugins free as an open source programme too, which means you will only be paying for the time needed to install the plugins and then configure them to match the design of the website. |
